Na základě výsledků studií z různých zemí, např. Lind (2000), Helkama a kol. (2003), Slováčková a Slováček (2007), Hegazi a Wilson (2013), Aguarto a kol. (2017) a Abassi a kol. (2017), dochází u mediků ke snižování morální kompetence.
Tato studie probíhá na šesti různých institucích, třech univerzitách (VŠB-TUO, UP, UK) ve třech městech (Ostrava, Olomouc, Praha).
Schopnost řešit problémy a konflikty na základě morálních principů, a to prostřednictvím uvažování a diskuse, bez použití násilí a lsti nebo podřízení se autoritě.
